Michael B. Jordan & Austin Butler Spotted Filming ‘Miami Vice 85’ Scenes Together in New York City

Michael B. Jordan and Austin Butler are still hard at work on their upcoming movie, Miami Vice ’85.

The actors were spotted filming scenes by the water on Sunday night (November 2) in New York City.

They were seen with another actor who had a police badge on his lapel.

What we know about the new Miami Vice movie

The upcoming film will reportedly take place in the mid-’80s and is inspired by the original TV show’s pilot episode and first season.

The story will follow undercover detectives operating in Miami during a time of drug trafficking and corruption.

Top Gun: Maverick and F1 filmmaker Joseph Kosinski is directing from a screenplay written by Dan Gilroy, whose credits include Nightcrawler and Andor.

Miami Vice ’85 is scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 19, 2028, with the movie being filmed for IMAX. The first look photos of the two leads recently dropped.
