Kelly Osbourne Recalls Being Given Her ‘First Line of Cocaine’ from One of Late Dad Ozzy’s Famous Rocker Friends

Kelly looks back at the family’s history with West Hollywood’s Sunset Marquis Hotel in the ‘If These Walls Could Rock’ documentary

Kelly Osbourne shared a story about the first time she tried cocaine in the new documentary If These Walls Could Rock.

In the film, which looks back at the storied history of West Hollywood’s Sunset Marquis hotel, the actress and reality star recalls spending the summer at the venue.

Kelly, 41, said that the Sunset Marquis was “the only hotel that my dad could stay in, at the time, where my dad could be himself.”

“We’d be kicked out of everywhere, but not the Sunset Marquis,” she said, adding: “My dad could misbehave politely here.”

Kelly said that during that time she “felt like a little Eloise” as she explored the hotel. Later, it also became home to her teenage antics.

She recalled having her “first drink” and “first kiss” at the hotel, among other things.

“I did my first line of cocaine in this hotel… which was given to me by one of my dad’s friends in a very very very big band, and I could never tell my parents because they would f—ing kill him,” Kelly added.

Elsewhere in the documentary, Sharon Osbourne spoke about the family’s stays at the hotel each summer while Ozzy Osbourne toured in the U.S., before they made permanent roots in Los Angeles.

The hotel maintained the rocker’s “sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll” vibe, but also worked for the family at the time.

“He would love it here because he could wander. He could wander around outside in the garden. In those days he’d smoke,” said Sharon, 73.

At the time, the TV personality and businesswoman said her late husband would greet the people staying in different bungalows as he wandered around.

“It was like you were in your own home with a lot of friends,” said Sharon.

In a recent interview with Hello! magazine, Kelly opened up about trading the American West Coast for the English countryside.

“Being home in the U.K. has changed a lot for me,” Kelly said of moving back to the U.K. “I’ve never been a California girl. It’s been great to be home, and making a life for me and my son where I can see he’s truly happy.”

She also noted that the increase in gun violence in the United States impacted her decision to relocate.

“I don’t ever want to have to explain to my son what to do during a gun raid,” she said of her 3½-year-old son, Sidney, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Sid Wilson.
