It’s Time! Mariah Carey Kicks Off Holiday Season with Gucci Party in New York

Mariah Carey is ready for the festive season!

The iconic Grammy-winning singer kicked off the holidays by celebrating her new Gucci holiday campaign with a festival cocktail party on Monday (November 2) in New York City.

Mariah stars in a new Gucci campaign film, captured by Harmony Korine, set to the sounds of “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” At the party, an a capella choir delivered a special performance of the song alongside a selection of her greatest hits.

Can Mariah Carey reclaim her record on the Billboard Hot 100 this year?

Mariah previously held the record for the most weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with her song “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which had topped the chart for 22 non-consecutive weeks across 2019 to 2025.

Ella Langley‘s “Choosin’ Texas” broke that record this year and she now has 26 weeks at number one, and counting.

Last year, Mariah added four more weeks at number one during the holiday season. If she can hit the top of the chart earlier this year, there’s a chance she can reclaim that record by the beginning of 2027.
