“Mission: Impossible” actor Ving Rhames is “on his way home” and feeling fine after a health scare in a Los Angeles-area restaurant on Wednesday, his rep confirmed. “He sounded like everyday Ving and cracked a joke over the phone,” manager Brad Kramer told Variety.

The 66-year-old actor was rushed to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after collapsing at his table at Granville restaurant in North Hollywood, TMZ reported. Kramer said he was checked out and said he felt fine and “sounded like everyday Ving.”

Rhames, who also starred in “Pulp Fiction,” is the only actor besides Tom Cruise to appear in all eight “Mission: Impossible” movies. He played computer hacker Luther Stickell.

In 2025, Rhames starred in boxing movie “Uppercut” and mini-series “The Dope Thief” after reprising his role as Stickell in “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” the conclusion to the saga.

Most recently, Rhames has been hosting the History Channel series “History’s Deadliest With Ving Rhames,” where he covers some of the most catastrophic natural disasters ever recorded. When the series premiered in March, Rhames talked to Fox News about working with Tom Cruise, saying “[My favorite memories] are talking to him off-stage,” said Rhames. “Learning secrets he knew about the industry that he was able to talk to me about.”

“[One big piece of advice is] to be in Hollywood, not of Hollywood,” he said in the interview. “And that’s just from years of experience.”

His upcoming films include “The Mongoose” with Liam Neeson and Marisa Tomei and “Painter” with Walton Goggins.
