‘The Dog Stars’ Trailer: Jacob Elordi, Josh Brolin, Margaret Qualley & More Star in Ridley Scott Thriller

The Dog Stars is hitting theaters this summer, and it’s got a star-studded cast.

Ridley Scott’s next movie – described in a release as a “riveting, epic thriller set in a world where survival is instinct, but humanity is a choice” – hits theaters on August 28.

The film is based on Peter Heller’s captivating bestseller of the same name, and features a ton of stars, including Jacob Elordi, Josh Brolin, Margaret Qualley, Allison Janney, Benedict Wong, and Guy Pearce, with a script by Mark L. Smith based on the book.

Here’s a full synopsis…

The film tells the story of Hig (Elordi), a young pilot who, together with a military survivalist, Bangley (Brolin), has carved out an efficient but isolated homestead in a brutal post-apocalyptic world. But when Hig receives a mysterious radio transmission, he ventures into the unknown in search of the hope and humanity he still believes exist.
