Broadway’s biggest stars have hit the red carpet at Radio City Music Hall in New York City for the 79th annual Tony Awards.

Host Pink was among the first to arrive to kick off the star-studded affair. The producers for the 2026 awards show previously gave PEOPLE insight into the decision for the musician to emcee.

“It happened quickly,” Raj Kapoor said. “I think we’ve all worked with Pink over the years in some capacity. She’s produced some amazing performances on television. Then we started hearing all this buzz about how much she loved Broadway. We proposed it to our partners with the American Theatre Wing, The Broadway League and CBS, and everybody got on board very quickly. “

When the group got together via Zoom, Kapoor said it was “one of the best calls we’ve ever had,” adding: “She told us she’d never hosted an award show before, and we said we’d support her through the process. By the time we finished the Zoom, she said she was in, and we could not have been happier. And then we’ve been together ever since.”

She’s joined by nominees from shows including The Lost Boys, Schmigadoon!, Ragtime and more.
