Pedro Pascal, 51, shares a sweet moment with his actress sister Lux, 34, during a rare joint appearance at the premiere of his new film Behemoth! at the BFI London Film Festival

Pedro Pascal and his actress sister Lux made a rare joint appearance together as they celebrated the premiere of his new film Behemoth! at the British Film Institute London Film Festival.

The Fantastic Four star, 51, plays a renowned, prolific cellist returning to Los Angeles to compose film scores, and it was among a long list of films being honoured at the annual festival after its New York premiere last month.

Pedro and Lux, 34, shared a sweet moment as she leaned in to hug her brother while they posed on the red carpet.

The Last Of Us star opted for a smart camel jacket, while Lux was dressed in a stylish burgundy frilled dress.

Behemoth! is set to be released in the US on December 4, and sees Olivia Wilde star alongside Pedro as his character’s ex-girlfriend.

Pedro and Lux share a strong bond, with the Mandalorian star previously calling her one of the ‘most powerful people and personalities’ he knows.

Speaking to Esquire last year, he gushed: ‘She is and has always been one of the most powerful people and personalities I’ve ever known. My protective side is lethal, but I need her more than she needs me.’

He added that he had always felt ‘parental’ to Lux and his younger brother Nicolás following the death of their mother, Veronica Pascal, who tragically took her own life in February 2000, when Pedro was 24 and Lux just seven.

He explained: ‘They were very young kids, so much younger than me and my older sister, so even if they hadn’t lost a parent, we would still feel parental toward them.

‘And I didn’t naively think I could fill a space like that, but I just always wanted to be like, I’m here.’

Like her brother, Lux is also an actor, having graduated from the prestigious Juilliard School in 2023, and having roles in The Prince, Invisible Heroes, and Chilean drama series Los 80.

She publicly came out as transgender in 2021, appearing on the cover of Chilean magazine, Ya, where she bravely detailed her transition.

Lux credited Pedro as being an ‘important part’ of her journey as she recalled: ‘When I officially told him about my transition through FaceTime, he asked me how I felt… because I remember that he was worried.

‘I told him, ‘I’m happy.’ And his answer was: ‘Perfect, this is incredible’.’

Describing life before transition, she said it was like ‘playing with a deck of cards that was not mine.’

‘While in the dark I collected the cards to put together another one,’ she said. ‘And I finally dared to participate in this game with my own cards, as the person I am.’

Proud Pedro shared an image of his sister’s cover story with the magazine on his Instagram account with a purple heart.

Before coming out as transgender, Lux first came out as gay and then identified as non-binary which eventually led her to realise she was a woman.

Pascal has previously shown his support for the transgender community, earlier this year sharing on Instagram the quote: ‘A world without trans people has never existed and never will.’

He added in his caption: ‘I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorising the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist.’
