After hard launching her name change on social media, the 33-year-old “Flowers” superstar announced Tuesday (September 1) that the new record, Bass Persuades, will be released on September 18 via Atlantic Records.
What Does ‘Bass Persuades’ Mean?
Miley shared a message on Instagram.
My tenth studio album, BASS PERSUADES, is yours September 18th.
Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong. Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That’s what the title means to me.
Thank you for being a part of making my wildest dreams come true. I sincerely hope you love this album. <3 Miley

Today’s announcement follows the recent unveiling of a special issue of Wonderland Magazine guest-edited by Miley and photographed by Mario Sorrenti. The issue was styled by Chief Creative Officer Alastair McKimm, Miley’s close collaborator on Bass Persuades, alongside Mert Alas, who has exclusively created the visual world surrounding the album.
