Law Roach Claims Zendaya and Tom Holland Still Haven’t Had an ‘Official’ Wedding Ceremony Yet

Law Roach said on the red carpet at the 2026 Emmy Awards that Zendaya and Tom Holland will have an “official ceremony” after her ‘Dune’ press tour

Are Zendaya and Tom Holland “officially” married? Her stylist Law Roach has cryptic comments on the matter.

At the 2026 Emmy Awards on Monday, Sept. 14, Roach, 48, was asked whether his March 1 statement at the Actor Awards that the Zendaya and Holland had already gotten married was “coordinated.”

He responded on the CNN & Variety Red Carpet Live: TV’s Biggest Night pre-show: “Well, I actually lied, she wasn’t married. They actually haven’t had an official ceremony yet. It’s gonna happen after the Dune press tour.”

Roach doubled down when asked a second time about the couple’s wedding and if he was “messing” with the reporters. (Holland himself appeared to confirm that his wedding to Zendaya had already taken place in a June interview with Esquire.)

“No, the wedding hasn’t happened,” said Roach. “Not yet.” The Project Runway judge also admitted he “could” be lying again.

Holland has referred to Zendaya as “my wife” in recent months, including during a podcast appearance in July. Roach said on the red carpet, “I mean, she’s been his ‘wife’ for a really long time now, but it’s not official yet.”

Following Roach’s initial comment about the couple’s relationship on March 1, Zendaya added fuel to marriage rumors when she wore a wedding band at the 2026 Oscars. She has since continued to wear the band on red carpets over the summer.

Holland appeared to confirm the couple had married when he was asked by Esquire in June about AI-generated photos of the couple that had circulated online in the spring. In that article, the Spider-Man star said that his grandmother saw the photos and thought she hadn’t been invited to the wedding. When the outlet asked Holland if he had to send similar messages to other family members, Holland replied, “No, because they were all there,” and then said, “That’s all you’ll get on that,” when asked to expand on the wedding day.

Recently, a source told PEOPLE that the actors hosted a private wedding reception with family and friends in Surrey, U.K., on Aug. 4.

On the red carpet, Roach also made note of AI-generated images that purported to show the couple’s wedding. “The AI images were totally fake, for sure,” he said. “That dress was ugly. I would not have dressed her in that.” When Roach was asked on the red carpet if he would style Zendaya for the wedding — if it has not actually happened yet — he responded, “Of course.”

Roach has a history of misdirecting speculation about the famous couple. He told Complex at the Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 27 that Zendaya and Holland “had a private wedding, and they got away with it,” adding that rumors of another ceremony were “definitely not true.” Zendaya and Holland, however, then hosted a private party on Aug. 4, celebrating their wedding after getting married, a source told PEOPLE.

Holland and Zendaya both costarred in two of the year’s biggest movies with The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which both released in July. Zendaya’s next movie, Dune: Part Three, is in theaters Dec. 18.

She is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at this year’s Emmys for her performance in Euphoria season 3.
