Chris Hemsworth is looking back on a travel mishap that messed up his family’s vacation plans before they even got on the plane.

The 42-year-old Thor star revealed that he, wife Elsa Pataky, and their children were once denied boarding for an international flight after a passport mixed-up involving their young daughter India Rose, 14, and 12-year-old twin sons, Sasha and Tristan.

During a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, Chris recalled arriving at the airport only to discover he had brought the wrong passport.

“I actually went to the airport once and I had my daughter’s passport instead of my son’s passport.”

The actor admitted he tried to convince airport staff that his son was actually his daughter, India.

“They kind of look the same,” he joked.

Elsa quickly disagreed with her husband’s assessment, responding, “They don’t.”

Chris then explained that he attempted to press his case anyway.

“I said, ‘This is her,’” he recalled telling the security agent, who replied, “‘That’s a boy.’”

The Marvel star laughed off the memory, adding, “So, yeah, that didn’t work.”

Chris Hemsworth had to compete against these 10 actors to eventually land the role of Thor, and one of them was his own brother!
