Adam Driver Breaks Silence on ‘Girls’ Revival, Reveals If He’s Returning or Not

Adam Driver is currently promoting his new movie Paper Tiger, but another project of his is on a lot of people’s minds: Girls!

The 42-year-old actor stepped out on the red carpet for the Paper Tiger premiere on Thursday night (November 5) at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, Calif.

While doing press for the movie, Adam was asked if he’s going to return for the Girls revival series on HBO, due out next year.

Adam Driver says he’s not returning for the Girls revival

Adam gave his first public comments about the revival after being asked if he’s going to reprise his role as Hannah’s on-again, off-again boyfriend Adam Sackler.

“No, but I wish them the best of luck,” he told Cinema Blend.

Five original cast members are confirmed to return for the limited five-episode run.

Miles Teller joined Adam Driver at the Paper Tiger premiere

Miles Teller was in attendance at the premiere, but they were missing their co-star Scarlett Johansson.

Set in New York in 1986, the movie follows Miles’ character Irwin, an engineer whose brother Gary (Driver), brings him into a business deal involving Russian criminals.

Here’s the official description:

“Set in the outer-borough terrain that has defined so much of James Gray’s work, Paper Tiger follows family man Irwin as his former-cop brother pulls him into a criminal scheme involving Russian criminals. What begins as an opportunity becomes a threat to Irwin’s marriage, children and increasingly fragile sense of loyalty.”

The film reunites Scarlett and Adam after they previously worked together on Marriage Story, featuring them as a couple going through a challenging divorce. Paper Tiger will arrive in select U.S. theaters on November 13, before expanding nationwide on November 20.
