Matthew McConaughey and Wife Camila Pose with All 3 of Their Kids in Rare Red Carpet Appearance

The actor and his longtime wife share sons Levi, 18, and Livingston, 13, as well as daughter Vida, 16

Matthew McConaughey is making the red carpet a family affair.

The actor, 56, was photographed posing with his longtime wife Camila Alves McConaughey, 43, and their three kids — sons Levi, 18, and Livingston, 13, as well as daughter Vida, 16 — during a special viewing of his movie, The Rivals of Amziah King, in Austin, Texas.

In one photo, Matthew could be seen wearing a navy suit and smiling, standing next to Camila and Livingston. On the other side, Vida posed, wearing a black dress. The actor’s oldest, Levi, was seen smiling next to his mom, seemingly the spitting image of his dad.

Last September, Levi spoke with PEOPLE about starring in his first role in Apple TV+’s harrowing thriller The Lost Bus. “I had to badger him,” said Levi of asking his dad to audition for the part of Matthew’s on-screen son in the film, a survival thriller about the deadly 2018 Camp Fire, which burned more than 150,000 acres and killed 85 people. 

“Can you pull the last name?” Matthew recalled asking the film’s casting director. “She goes, ‘Yeah.’ And I got a call back and she said, ‘Our director Paul Greengrass said, ‘That’s the kid. That’s the son, Levi.’ And then she goes, and ‘I told him that’s actually Matthew’s son in real life.’ ”

“Have you felt any pressure of being ‘Matthew McConaughey’s son’?” Matthew asked Levi during the interview.

“Yeah, it’s just starting,” acknowledged Levi. “And as much as people can say, ‘Oh, you got this because of your father or your mother,’ they can open the door, but then it’s going to be up to me to do my thing once I get in there. That’s on me.”

This past April, McConaughey appeared in an episode of Bear Grylls Is Running Wild and shared why he considers parenting to be one of the most “important” things a man can do.

In the episode, the dad of three shared that he believes the “greatest art” a man can create is being a “good father to a son or a daughter.”

“I think a man’s a prince until he has children, then he becomes a king. I don’t think there’s anything more important that a man can do,” Matthew told Bear Grylls.

He added, “In fact, man, we’re mortal. That’s the beginning of our immortality, and hopefully, we’re lucky enough for them to have offspring, and it continues to pass that down. I think that’s the greatest art that a man can make is being a good father to a son or a daughter.”
