‘Glamorous Life’ Lyrics: Lady Gaga Drops New Power Ballad for ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ Movie!

Lady Gaga not only makes a cameo appearance as herself in the new movie The Devil Wears Prada 2, she also provided three new original songs for the soundtrack.

Gaga performs her song “Shape of a Woman” during the movie and her songs “Runway” and “Glamorous Life” are both played during the credits.

“Glamorous Life” is a new power ballad that shows off Gaga‘s incredible vocals.

Gaga sings on the chorus, “I might need a hero to stop me from breaking / Or I’ll be the villain and feed off the pain / Can I be myself in a world that’s just faking? / Only wanna drive in a fast world / I’ll just crush ’til I die of the glamorous life.”

Meryl Streep has revealed that she’s the one who secured Gaga to be in the movie.

“That was me. Thank you. You’re welcome,” Meryl said on the UK morning show Heart Breakfast. “I called her from Islington because I was out to dinner with Tracy. And I thought, I might as well try her. I just said, ‘Would you do this? Because it’s going to be really good. And she said, ‘Yeah!’ Just like that. She’s on her world tour, which lasted a year, playing to 75,000 people in a stadium and just flew off and did us.”
