‘Wonder Man’ Renewed for Season 2 at Disney+, 2 Stars Confirmed to Return
Wonder Man is getting a second season!
The Marvel Television series will be getting a Season 2 at Disney+, the company confirmed on Monday (March 23).
The first season premiered back in January with eight episodes.
Yahya Abdul Mateen II and Ben Kingsley star as Simon Williams and Trevor Slattery, and both will return for Season 2, Variety reports.
Further casting details have yet to be announced.
X Mayo, Demetrius Grosse, Zlatko Burić, Arian Moayed andOlivia Thirlby were all part of the first season cast.
Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest created the series, and Andrew will return as showrunner and executive producer, while Destin will return as director and executive producer, per the report.
Season 1 has a 91% Fresh score at Rotten Tomatoes, and an 87% audience score.
Here’s a synopsis of the first season: “Aspiring Hollywood actor Simon Williams (Abdul Mateen) is struggling to get his career off the ground. During a chance meeting with Trevor Slattery (Kingsley), an actor whose biggest roles may be well behind him, Simon learns legendary director Von Kovak (Zlatko Burić) is remaking the superhero film Wonder Man. These two actors at opposite ends of their careers doggedly pursue life-changing roles in this film as audiences get a peek behind the curtain of the entertainment industry.”
