Reese Witherspoon looks youthful as she celebrates turning 50 and receives greetings from pals including Jennifer Aniston

Reese Witherspoon celebrated her 50th birthday on Sunday, and fellow A-listers also helped her mark the milestone with sweet gestures.

To celebrate her big day, the actress took to Instagram to share a photo series of funny selfies and goofy moments from behind-the-scenes of her work and home life.

The Morning Show star, who also shared a look at some of her beauty maintenance treatments in her post, showcased her age-defying beauty in her celebratory post.

As she rang in her birthday, she shared a rare inside look of her life and her Los Angeles mansion as she posted photos of her studying scripts at home as well as how she enjoys her time off of work. 

‘Turning 50 today…just thought I would show you some highlights,’ she wrote in her caption beside a smiling emoji. ‘Gotta laugh everyday you can!’

On the same day, she received sweet birthday tributes from longtime pals and fellow actresses Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Garner.

In one photo from her post, Witherspoon was seen making a cute expression while getting her hair touched up during what appeared to be a photoshoot. 

For her birthday, she took to Instagram to share a series of fun snapshots she referred to as some of her ‘highlights’ of the past year. 

She posted fun selfies as well as other moments from behind-the-scenes of her day-to-day life as she had declared in her caption: ‘Gotta laugh everyday you can!’ 

The Legally Blonde star included snippets of herself at home and at work. In one snapshot, she was seen making a tired expression after studying a script.

She also shared a fun selfie of herself at the dentist’s office and flashing a bright smile.

Among her montage of throwback photos, she also included a photo of herself making a shocked expression after jumping into a cold plunge bath.

The ever-radiant star also included snippets of herself from behind-the-scenes of her getting ready for glamorous events including candid bathroom photos. 

The Cruel Intentions actress included a nighttime selfie, in which she was wearing Audrey Hepburn’s iconic bedtime look from the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s. 

In addition to photos of herself at work, or getting ready for work, she also posted candid photos of herself enjoying her time off and traveling. 

Even while busy at work, as seen in a photo of herself signing a large stack of papers, she showed how she stays in high spirits by taking a bright-eyed, fun selfie.

The mother-of-two — who shares two adult children with her first husband Ryan Phillippe and a teenage son with her second husband Jim Toth — frequently updates her social media and often sheds insight about her secrets to maintaining her radiant beauty. 

The movie star has opened up about her diet, skincare and fitness routines over the years while juggling her book club, acting projects and production company.

She is mother to daughter Ava Elizabeth Phillippe, 26, and sons Deacon Reese Phillippe, 22, and Tennessee James Toth, 13. 

Aniston shared a montage of photos from their projects and parties over the years with Friends throwbacks and The Morning Show selfies. 

Alongside the photo series, she penned a gushing caption to her ‘favorite little firecracker.’

‘She’s 50 and still my favorite little firecracker,’ Aniston wrote. ‘My sister, my partner, and my heart for 30 years. Whaaaaa!??’

The Friends alum added: ‘Y’all know what to do~ please join me in wishing this very special woman a birthday she’ll never forget. I love you, honey!’

Garner wished Witherspoon a happy birthday by sharing a video of her playing the saxophone and serenading her pal. 

On top of the video of her playing the iconic tune of You Are My Sunshine, Garner also inserted throwback photos of them together over the years. 

She wrote in the caption of the video: ‘An ode to my sunshine friend on her 50th birthday. We love you, @reesewitherspoon!’ 

Witherspoon also reposted Garner’s video to her Instagram Story, where she shared many birthday tributes her celebrity pals posted for her. 

Alongside the snap of Garner showing off her former band kid side, Witherspoon gushed: ‘OMG. How did I get so lucky to have someone like @jennifer.garner in my life?! I love you!’

Another former costar, Sarah Michelle Gellar, also shared a birthday tribute with a throwback photo of them on the set of their 1999 film Cruel Intentions. 

She jokingly wrote: ‘I love this pic of us from last week.’

Witherspoon responded with a laughing emoji and added: ‘I love you, @sarahmgellar.’ 

Country pop star Kelsea Ballerini also wished a happy birthday to Witherspoon and called her a ‘beautiful ray of sunshine.’ 

Thanking the musician, Witherspoon also added the post to her growing album of birthday tributes on her Instagram Story.

‘I love you cutie pie! Thank you @kelseaballerini,’ she replied with emojis of pink hearts. 

Scandal star Kerry Washington also shared a tribute that Witherspoon gushed over. 

‘Happy @reesewitherspoon day everyone!!!!’ Washington wrote in her post. ‘Happy Birthday to this very very very special light of a human being. So grateful you were born. LOVE YOU SOOOOO MUCH RW.’

‘You are the best! I love you, thank you friend,’ Witherspoon wrote in response. 

Mindy Kaling also joined in on the flood of birthday wishes and shared a throwback photo of the pair in costume and enjoying pizza. 

In response, Witherspoon wrote back: ‘Love you @mindykaling!! So grateful for you.’

Octavia Spencer also shared a sweet post to her ‘dear friend.’ Witherspoon reposted a photo of them smiling together and added red heart emojis.
