A man accused of stalking Billie Eilish, whom the “Birds of a Feather” musician was granted a restraining order against in 2020, has died after being struck by a train.

Prenell Rousseau, 30, was struck by a westbound MTA train headed from the Huntington LIRR station to Atlantic Terminal on Long Island, a representative for the MTA Police confirmed to Entertainment Weekly on Monday.

The incident took place at 5:38 a.m. on March 25, and Rousseau was pronounced dead at the scene.

An MTA spokesperson told Long Island’s Newsday that a preliminary investigation determined that “no criminality is suspected” in the matter. The New York Post quoted a law enforcement source which claimed that Rousseau, originally from Farmingville, N.Y., was jogging “on or near” the tracks just before his death.

Entertainment Weekly has reached out to representatives for Eilish and to a detective with the MTA P.D. for comment.

Eilish requested a temporary restraining order against Rousseau in 2020, after he allegedly visited her family home in Los Angeles seven times between May 4 and 5 of that year. The request was granted, and ultimately extended for three years.

The “Wildflower” singer was only 18 years old at the time. While she did not speak at the 2020 hearing to grant her the restraining order, in court documents reviewed by The Guardian, she described Rousseau’s behavior as “erratic.”

“While we waited for security, Mr Rousseau remained on our porch, sat down and began to read a book, while also continuing to engage in a periodic monologue,” she wrote. “My father repeatedly asked him to leave, but he refused.” Rousseau was ultimately arrested for trespassing and sent back to New York.

Eilish requested and obtained a restraining order against another man accused of stalking her and threatening her friends and family in 2023.
