Anne Hathaway breaks cover for dinner in Milan with her family as she’s seen for the first time since viral comments about her taut face at the Oscars
Anne Hathaway has broken her cover for a dinner in Milan with her family as she was seen for the first time since viral comments were made about her taut face at the Oscars.
The actress, 43, set tongues wagging after showcasing her smooth, extremely youthful skin at the all-star event.
And now she has been taking some time for herself, as she enjoyed a meal at Le Specialità.
For the outing, she stepped out in a structured leopard-print trench coat which she layered over a pair of white flared trousers.
A makeup-free Anne accessorised her bold ensemble with a pair of large, tinted glasses and slipped into a pair of black leather platform heels.
Anne has been busy promoting The Devil Wears Prada 2, the sequel to her classic 2006 comedy The Devil Wears Prada, which was based on a roman à clef by a former assistant to Dame Anna Wintour at Vogue.

In a full-circle moment, Anne took the stage at the Oscars with the real Dame Anna earlier this month.
But for many viewers at home, it was her face that drew the most attention, sending social media into a tailspin of speculation.
‘What did Anne Hathaway do to her face and why,’ wondered a fan on X, formerly Twitter, where another wrote: ‘Anne Hathaway debuting her new face.’
The commotion around her features was something the hilarious star was keen to poke fun ats she later posted a video to make light of the comments.
Taking to Instagram, Anne joked that while she was getting ready, she was transforming into Lilith the Grand High Witch – her character from the 2020 remake of the 1990 movie adaptation of Roald Dahl’s novel of the same name.
Her terrifying depiction in the movie featured the grotesque creature with a bald head and tight skin, leading to Anne saying: ‘This is The Witches Part Two.
‘The return of The Grand High Witch. She figured out Mouse Life and she’s back.’
In the video, Anne poked fun at comments as she showed a picture of a plait in her hair, which she claimed was pulled back to create an eyelift look.

It’s not the first time the actress has sparked speculation over her taut expression – and now, a cosmetics expert has revealed how the American star perhaps achieved her ageless look.
Dr Ross Perry, medical director of Cosmedics skin clinics, told the Daily Mail: ‘Anne Hathaway’s recent appearances have sparked a huge wave of admiration and curiosity about how she manages to look so radiant and refreshed in her 40s.
‘While she has never publicly confirmed specific treatments, there are a number of realistic, subtle aesthetic options that could help explain her smooth skin, lifted features, and natural glow, all without looking overdone.’
The expert suggested that Anne has had small, ‘strategically placed doses of Botox’, which soften lines, especially around the forehead and eyes.
‘A vast number of celebrities use this preventative approach to maintain smoothness without freezing the face,’ explained Dr Ross.
