Joe Manganiello Shares Graphic Photos of His Body Amid Health Crisis
Joe Manganiello shared a few graphic images from his health crisis to display just how ill he was.
The 49-year-old True Blood actor wrote about his seven-year-long health battle, where had excruciating pain in his abdomen, underwent surgeries and colonoscopies, and even had part of his intestines removed with an ostomy bag installed.

Joe captioned a series of photos with “TRIGGER WARNING.”
He then detailed that each of the three photos corresponds to chapter 1 in his book “Bloodlines.”
For the first image, he wrote, “In the days following the amputation of my large intestine, my weight began to plummet. I would ultimately lose a total of 60 lbs during the two weeks following the surgery. If you zoom in, you can see the top of my first ostomy bag creeping up over the sheets.”
For the second photo, he wrote, “A shot of my abdomen after the reconnection/take down surgery or anastomosis, in which my ostomy bag was removed and what was left of my digestive tract was reconnected.”
For the third pic, he wrote, “An example of the multitude of skin conditions I was plagued with during the seven years I was sick. My skin, an immune organ, was stricken with just about every condition known to man, usually in combination.”
