Charles Melton Quietly Marries Photographer and Director Camille Summers-Valli

The ‘May, December’ actor and the director welcomed their baby daughter in March

Charles Melton is married!

In a new interview with PEOPLE, the Her Private Hell actor, 35, referred to his longtime partner Camille Summers-Valli as his wife. PEOPLE has reached out to a rep for Melton for comment.

Melton and Summers-Valli’s happy news comes after the actor first called his partner his wife this past May. In his Gold Gala speech, the Riverdale alum referred to Summers-Valli as “my partner, my fiancée, my wife, my girlfriend.”

In March, the two shared that they’d welcomed their baby daughter, announcing the news on Instagram. The couple has yet to reveal her name.

“Our family,” the actor captioned the carousel. Melton did not reveal when they welcomed their newborn, and appeared to have the baby’s face covered in multiple family photos.

Melton was announced as the 2027 Gonna Need Milk Man in July, in an effort to promote milk’s hydrating benefits and make the drink sexy with a 2027 Milk Man Hydration Calendar. The campaign offered an opportunity for Melton and Summers-Valli — who was the film photographer on set for the calendar shoot — to work together.

The star previously worked with Summers-Valli on his Coach Fall 2024 campaign, and told PEOPLE in July how grateful he is to get these opportunities. “She’s the most gifted, inspired, inspiring artist that I know,” said Melton. “I love her work and I love everything she represents and the creativity she has. It’s just amazing to be on set and to work together.”

Although the two are happy to work together, Melton and Summers-Valli prefer to keep their relationship private. Melton was previously romantically linked to his Riverdale costar Camila Mendes from 2018 to 2021, Chase Sui Wonders in 2022 and Chloe Bennet in 2023.

In 2019, Melton spoke about the public’s fascination with his relationships. The actor told Hunger magazine, “People need to mind their own f—— business, honestly. I don’t have Twitter [now X], and it’s one of the reasons why I don’t read through all my comments on social media, because people are always going to talk.”

“No matter what, people have always talked, even before this age of Instagram, but back then you were less inclined to hear about someone talking about you, and honestly, it’s not their place to have any authority over my relationships,” he added. “Not everyone is going to be a supporter or a fan of your relationship, and people need to remember that opinions aren’t facts.”
