A Jessica Simpson Documentary Is Coming to Netflix in 2027

Directed by BAFTA nominee Joe Pearlman, the feature doc will dive deep into the pop star’s life and career.

It’s been over 20 years since Jessica Simpson invited cameras into her life with the reality show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. In the years since, she’s sold more than 20 million records worldwide, launched one of the most successful celebrity licensing brands in history, and written a bestselling memoir, Open Book. After a 15-year hiatus from original music, Jessica returned to recording and performing with her two 2025  Nashville Canyon EPs. Now, she’s invited the cameras back in to tell all in a new documentary.

Directed by BAFTA nominee Joe Pearlman, the feature will stream on Netflix in 2027.

The documentary is produced by Van Toffler. Its executive producers are Gunpowder & Sky, Joe Pearlman, and Jonathan Silberberg. The film is a Gunpowder & Sky production.
