InStyle x Peacock’s ‘The Five-Star Weekend’ Dinner
Ahead of the premiere of Peacock’s The Five-Star Weekend, InStyle hosted a “Good Ideas” dinner on Tuesday night celebrating the upcoming adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand’s bestselling novel.
Jennifer Garner, who stars in and executive produces the series, welcomed castmates Chloë Sevigny, Gemma Chan, Judy Greer, Harlow Jane and West Duchovny.

Summer Dressing Done Right
When I say I want summer inspiration from celebrities, this is exactly what I mean.
Chloë Sevigny delivered my favourite look of the evening in Alaïa, pairing a simple white tank top with a stunning printed draped skirt. Even the dark-purple Alaïa Le Teckel bag and black shoes worked beautifully against the fresh, summery feel of the outfit. The shoes surprised me the most here.

Saving Summer For Autumn?
Gemma Chan is usually one of my go-to references for seasonal dressing, but this grey Ferragamo Fall 2026 dress missed the mark for me.

The tailoring, button detailing and sharp silhouette were impeccably executed, but paired with black pumps, the overall look felt more October than a warm July evening.

Summer In A Dress
Jennifer Garner looked every bit the perfect host in a Carolina Herrera floral dress that captured the mood of the evening.

The colourful print felt fresh and joyful, while her red Aquazzura Lune slingback pumps added the perfect finishing touch. You may remember Saffron Hocking wearing the longer version of this dress last month.

Summer Tailoring Keeps Winning
I’ve really enjoyed the relaxed tailoring we’ve been seeing over the past few weeks, and Jennifer Morrison continued that streak.

Her pale-blue pinstriped PS by Paul Smith three-piece suit felt crisp, easy and ideal for a summer evening event. The soft colour kept the tailoring feeling smart-casual rather than corporate.

Vintage Charm
I’m not overly familiar with Harlow Jane’s style, but based on this Zac Posen Fall 2005 satin dress trimmed with pom-pom flounces, I’d say her style leans gothic rather than fully embracing it.
The rich plum shade suited her beautifully, while the vintage dress brought plenty of personality to the event.

Easy Summer Separates
Judy Greer kept things simple, finishing the look with a black Savette Symmetry clutch. It was an easy, unfussy look that felt perfectly suited to the occasion.

It’s All In The Details
D’Arcy Carden opted for a look that appears simple at first, until you notice the floral embroidery on her top and the multicoloured confetti beading trimming the hem of her Mr Larkin trousers.

All Black Everything
West Duchovny kept to an all-black palette, wearing a fluid sleeveless top with tailored trousers and pointed pumps. The clean monochrome styling allowed the relaxed silhouette to do all the work.
