Dwayne Johnson & Catherine Laga’aia Step Out to Promote ‘Moana’ Live-Action Movie in Sydney

Dwayne Johnson and Catherine Laga’aia are hitting the blue carpet Down Under!
The co-stars posed for photos together as they arrived at a special event to promote their new Disney live-action Moana movie on Thursday (June 25) held at ICC Sydney Theatre in Sydney, Australia.
For the event, Dwayne, 54, sported a cream-colored jacket and black pants with a white floral and green leaf lei while Catherine, 19, donned a white floral-print dress.
Also in attendance at the event was Thomas Kail, who directed the live-action adaption of the 2016 animated movie.
What Moana is about?
Moana answers the Ocean’s call and, for the first time, voyages beyond the reef of her island of Motunui with the infamous demigod Maui on an unforgettable journey to restore prosperity to her people.
Meet the cast of the live-action adaptation
With Dwayne reprising his role as Muai, Catherine is taking on the role of Moana in her film debut. The cast also includes Rena Owen as Moana’s revered Gramma Tala; John Tui as Moana’s no-nonsense father, Chief Tui; and Frankie Adams as Moana’s playful and strong-willed mother, Sina.
It was also just announced that Jemaine Clement is reprising his voice role from the animated movies. He will voice the giant, glitz-obsessed crab Tamatoa.
Dwayne and original Moana voice star Auli’i Cravalho are serving as executive producers.
The live-action Moana is slated to hit theaters on July 10th.
