Anna Faris & the Wayans Brothers Reunite Ahead of ‘Scary Movie 6’ Release, Plus Final Trailer Drops!

Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Anna Faris are celebrating the upcoming release Scary Movie 6 in a fun way ideal for longtime fans of the franchise.

The writers, producers, and stars of the long-running parody franchise transformed New York City’s Times Square into “Shorty’s Living Room” on Monday (June 1), where fans got the chance to watch the cast recreate some of the series’ most iconic moments ahead of the film’s release.

Paramount Pictures also shared an official synopsis for the highly anticipated sequel.

“Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (“Ghostface”), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe. Marlon Wayans (“Shorty”), Shawn Wayans (“Ray”), Anna Faris (“Cindy”), and Regina Hall (“Brenda”) reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every ‘final chapter’ that absolutely isn’t final. Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed. The Wayans are back to cancel the Cancel Culture.”

The film marks the long-awaited return of several fan-favorite characters, with Regina Hall joining Anna Faris, Marlon Wayans, and Shawn Wayans for another round of horror-comedy chaos.

Additional cast members include Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Kim Wayans, Chris Elliott, Cheri Oteri, Damon Wayans Jr., and more.

Along with the Times Square celebration, Paramount also debuted the final trailer for Scary Movie 6 ahead of its theatrical release on June 5.

The film has officially received an R rating for crude sexual content, graphic nudity, strong violence, and drug content and language throughout.
