Robert Pattinson Jokes There Is No ‘Team Jacob,’ Says It Was a ‘Marketing Thing’

Robert Pattinson (jokingly) claims there’s no such thing as “Team Jacob.”

The 39-year-old actor of course starred as Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies, while Taylor Lautner starred as Jacob Black, and it sparked the “Team [Person] vs Team [Other Person]” debates, that has become part of many other fandoms since.

While doing press for his new movie The Drama, Robert and co-star Zendaya were asked if they were asked if they were Team Jacob or Team Edward.

“I’m Team Edward, all day. Let’s go,” Zendaya responded to Canal+.

Robert then smirked, and asked, “Am I Team Ja-? No one’s Team Jacob,” followed by both of them laughing. “That was just a marketing thing.”

If you missed it, Zendaya recently revealed that she only just watched the Twilight movies right before working with Robert on their new movie. (They’re also co-starring in two more movies coming out later this year – The Odyssey and Dune: Part Three, the latter of which she pitched him for!)
