After fans poked fun at a video shared by the CEO of McDonald’s, Burger King responded with its own take.

Last month, Golden Arches boss Chris Kempczinski posted a video in which he tried the new Big Arch burger.

“The Big Arch might be my new go-to lunch order. Who else is counting down the days until it’s in a store near you?” Kempczinski wrote in the caption.

“I love this product. It is so good,” he raves in the clip, before announcing, “I’m gonna do a tasting right now, but I’m gonna eat this for my lunch, just so you know.”

Kempczinski goes on to list the burger’s ingredients, such as the “unique” seeded bun, before taking a bite.

Commenters began mocking the video, with one writing, “What’s the opposite of genuine and authentic? 😂”

“That was the smallest first bite I’ve ever seen,” someone else wrote, while others took issue with Kempczinski referring to the burger as a “product.”

TikTok users also sent up the CEO in parodies of the video, with one topping 1 million likes.

Burger King got in on the viral moment with its own TikTok video shared on Monday, March 2.

Tom Curtis, the president of Burger King U.S. & Canada, is seen taking an enthusiastic bite of the brand’s Whopper.

“Not bad, right?” a voice asks, and Curtis responds, “Only one thing missing — a napkin,” before laughing.

“Thought we’d replay this,” reads Burger King’s caption.

Commenters were quick to make the connection to Kempczinski’s video, with one writing, “Now compare this to the McDonalds CEO.”

McDonald’s rolled out the Big Arch Burger at locations nationwide on Tuesday, March 3.

The limited-time menu item includes two quarter-pound beef patties, three slices of white cheddar cheese, crispy onions, slivered raw onions, lettuce, pickles and Big Arch Sauce. The condiment is described as having “a perfect balance of mustard, pickle and sweet tomato flavors,” per the release. The elements are all sandwiched between a toasted sesame and poppy seed-coated bun.

The creation is the fast food giant’s “biggest” burger, per McDonald’s website.

Burger King also announced big news recently — its Whopper is getting a makeover for the first time in nearly 10 years.

The changes are inspired by guests’ feedback, according to a Feb. 26 press release, and make for a “higher-quality Whopper experience.”

Upgrades include a “more premium, better tasting” bun and “better tasting mayo.”

Rather than being wrapped in paper, the new Whopper will be served in a box.

And as for toppings, each Whopper will come “stacked tall with freshly cut onions and tomatoes and crisp lettuce, tangy pickles.”
